Building Floater

Rising Star Childcare Academy is seeking a full-time building floater who can exhibit creativity and adaptability to effectively engage and keep the attention of young children ages 0-5 years of age. The ability to communicate clearly with students and their parents is also a vital quality, along with patience and the energy necessary to keep up with small children on a daily basis. You will also assist with sterilizing toys and play areas and other duties to ensure that the children are in a safe and clean environment.

Required:

  • CDA and/or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Education relating to care for children ages 0 - 5 years old.

  • Strong oral communication skills

  • Ability to relate to young children and adults

  • Strong desire for continued learning and growth

  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks, accepting supervision and acting independently as needed

  • Ability to recognize safety hazards and protect children from harm

  • Meet background check & health requirements

  • Good character and reputation

  • Child CPR & First Aid certification

Teaching & Curriculum

  • Contribute ideas to the planning and implementation of a balanced and sound daily curriculum

  • Work and play with children, individually and in small groups

  • Nurture physical, spiritual, emotional, social, and intellectual growth and development of each child

  • Provide care, protection, and guidance to the children

  • Ensure consistency of the daily curriculum with the school values statement

Administrative & Classroom

  • Provide a cheerful, nurturing, healthy, safe and clean classroom environment

  • Assist in the set-up and clean-up of class activities

  • Maintain storage, organization, and cleanliness of classroom equipment and materials

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $10.00 to $11.50 /hour
