Rising Star Childcare Academy, in an effort to slow down the spread of Covid-19 Coronavirus, has adopted the following necessary procedures and protocols for all:
Sanitation
Our teachers will continue to sanitize tables throughout the day in preparation for meals and/or curriculum learning.
All classroom toys will be disinfected nightly.
Mouthed toys are immediately taken from the general population and put in a designated bin for cleaning.
The children are taught to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds when entering the building, before and after meals, after toileting, after returning from outside play and before using the sensory tables. Every classroom will actively practice washing hands every hour to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.
Rising Star Childcare Academy will deep clean and sanitize the facility using RCE Carpet Cleaning & Water Damage Restoration company.
Wellness
All teachers and building workers will have/have taken the COVID-19 test to insure the safety of everyone in the building. Results are kept on file.
In compliance with government officials order in the state of Indiana, all staff and parents entering the building for any length of time will be mandated to wear a mask for the duration of the time in the building.
For wellness purposes, parents and other adults will not be permitted in the building past the front doors. Parents will drop off and pick up children from designated staff members.
Every staff member and child staying in the building will fill out a wellness check questionnaire and temperature check daily. If anyone has a fever over 99 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, they will not be permitted to stay for the day and need to be symptom free for 24 hours without any fever reducer medication. If any question on the survey is answered with a yes, staff or child will not be permitted to stay.
While not all germs can be eliminated and children can still experience illness, Rising Star Childcare Academy strives to keep our environment a clean and sanitized establishment. Per the Indiana State Licensing regulations, our director will inform parents of the illness, symptoms and period of time that absences have to occur.
To help protect others from the spread of illness, children must be fever free for 24 hours without any fever reducer medication before allowed back into the Rising Star Childcare Academy environment.
